Nani's Ramble for March 2010

We've had a great beginning of our poultry season! So far, 1,150 baby chicks have been adopted!

This month's baby chicks and poultry are listed below. Shipments usually arrive on Friday, but sometimes fly in early on Thursday. Just call to check.

Following is a list of March's order:  Friday-March 5: Production Reds, Gold Sex Links, Barred Rocks, Buff Plymouth Rocks, Bantams and French Guineas.  Friday-March 12: Red Sex Links, Assorted St. Cochins, Ameraucanas, Buff Orpingtons, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and hatchery choice Ducks Friday-March 19: Brown Leghorns, California Whites, Jersey Black Giants, Rhode Island Reds, Feather Leg Bantams, Black Sex Links, Rhode Island Whites, and  Turkeys. Friday-March 26: Columbian Wyandottes,  New Hampshire Reds, Anconas, Brahma Assortment, Black Australorps, Blue Andalusians.

We will have baby poultry until the end of May, so dream, plan and prepare for the chicken craze!

Garden time is taking a bashing with all of this rain. But hang in there, the sun will return some day! Be ready! Fresh plants, seeds, fertilizers and lime are ready to turn your back yard into a tasty smorgasbord!
